From your everyday schedule do you ever take time out to realize, how blessed you are? Do you ever long for more? Of course you do, and that is human nature. But do you know that there are people who do not get a proper food a day, people who wear same clothes every day, who walk barefoot on streets and children who do not go to school. And when you do realize, what you have is more than what many people get, you surely get a feeling that you are blessed.

Life is a Journey not a Destination

Subhana Kayastha

What do you really think our destination is?
Well most of us say that fulfilling our dream is our destination. I have a different point of view towards life, I just feel that life is a journey not a destination cause destination is where you stop and in the journey of life you never stop until the last day of your life......

Flashback to good old days.

  • Proper use of dustbin
We generally have the habit of throwing paper and wrappers outside the dustbin. At least 20% of the litters would be outside the dustbin. When Lionel Messi misses the Penalty we complain, we gasp, right? Why don't we feel sorry when we fail to score the papers and litters into the dustbin? So, from now onwards, let's dump them inside the dustbin and not outside.
  • Keeping our work area clean
Let's keep at least our work area i.e 2 by 2 m2 around us clean. At least we can do that, can't we? When this is done by each and every student of the class, the whole class will be clean and ultimately the entire school will be clean. So please take responsibility of that 4m2 area around you.
  • The condition of wash area and drinking area after the lunch break
Let's imagine the scenario over there after the lunch break especially, after senior lunch break. So it has been a trend among the students to use "the place" to throw Real and Frooti bottles over there. We find out and out pleasure to throw the bottles nearby the drinking area, don't we? Don't you think that drinking area should be clean and must be kept clean? So, from now onwards, when we buy Real, Frooti and drink it, why not put the bottles into the dustbins nearby. If a younger brother and sister see us doing that, they may think that is the way it is done, so why not follow the trend. Let's take satisfaction from our good deeds and be remembered for good.
  • Sticking the chewing gums under the desks and chairs
First of all, chewing gums are completely banned inside the school campus. Let's follow the rules. Do you know the ultimate satisfaction a student feels after chewing a gum? Is it while chewing it? No, not at all but while sticking it under the desk or chair he/she is sitting. But think, it's your place and you are making it dirty, right? So, don't bring chewing gum to school. While you consume it outside as well, at least wrap it in a piece of paper and throw it into a dust bin so that it doesn't stick to the inner walls of the dustbin as well.
  • Flushing toilets after use
After going to the toilet, let's develop a habit of putting water. How will you feel when you have to go for the long toilet and there is already stinky gift of your friend? Not nice, right? In that case you may not even want enter the toilet itself. So, after using toilet let's develop the habit of flushing every time, as not only others, we ourselves have to visit toilet many times during the course of the day.
So, students when we observe our school campus, it is the school having clean and greenery all around. The clean and green environment is being maintained by our helper brothers and sisters. Let's do our bit to help them. We spend most of our time in our school. Even a small contribution like picking up a wrapper and putting into the dustbin will mean a lot. We should not be a Leader to lead by example. All of us are BORN-Leaders and let's not make "Cleanliness" as the theme for this month only, this should and must be the theme of our lifetime. So, from today onwards a commitment is to be made i.e "Let's go Green...and Make Our School Campus Clean."
