From your everyday schedule do you ever take time out to realize, how blessed you are? Do you ever long for more? Of course you do, and that is human nature. But do you know that there are people who do not get a proper food a day, people who wear same clothes every day, who walk barefoot on streets and children who do not go to school. And when you do realize, what you have is more than what many people get, you surely get a feeling that you are blessed.

As humans, we call ourselves the most intelligent life form on this planet. Then, why are we so selfish? Why don't we care for other beings that coexist with us?

Life is a Journey not a Destination

Subhana Kayastha

What do you really think our destination is?
Well most of us say that fulfilling our dream is our destination. I have a different point of view towards life, I just feel that life is a journey not a destination cause destination is where you stop and in the journey of life you never stop until the last day of your life......

Don't Waste Your Life

When asked what surprised him the most about humanity, the Dalai Lama answered, Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he's never going to die and then dies having never really lived.

Everyone in today's world, runs after the elusive future and at the same time forgets the present. We students pull out all-nighters to get good grades, which will apparently get us a good job with good pay. But have we ever thought about why we really do this? Why don't we realize that the present is the most beautiful gift we will ever receive?
Don't waste your present worrying about your future.

It doesn't matter where you are in life, start now! Experiment with the things you love. Never think, "I can't do this" because it is the thinking that stops the brain from working and limits our growth. Instead, ask yourself, "How can I do this?". Asking yourself this question will allow you to go beyond your comfort zone by forcing your brain to come up with ideas. Never live with the fear of failure because every success story has multiple failures attached to it. When we see a successful person, we only focus on their success, but we have to realize that failure is one of the elements of life that leads to success. Learn from your mistakes and try to excel at the things you love.

Thomas Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, "How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?", he replied, "I didn't fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention of 1,000 steps." He never gave up and the thing that kept him moving forward was passion for his work. No matter what, don't waste your life doing something that does not get you excited to wake up in the morning. Love every single task you accomplish. Follow your passion and live your dreams so that when you reflect on your life when you're 70 or 80 years of age, you don't have a drop of regret in your heart. After all we've got one life to live so why not live it to the fullest.
